The Musical Box Newark Concert reviews
Glad it was Garth
"It was great being King of Country (next to George), however, it opened my eyes to concerts of this magnitude. Even the big screens were hard to see where we were, making it difficult to see The Musical Box. I woulda said it wasn’t worth the time if it had been ANYBODY else. We got there at 630 thinking it was starting at 7, but it didn’t actually start until 830! Sitting there for that length of time for nothing was rather difficult, especially for someone who has a hard time being with major crowds. I tried to get something to drink but stood in a lineup for 20+min without getting NEAR the till. I finally left when the opening act came on. While it was good to hear him, the whole point was to see him 'LIVE' and that didn’t happen. I would’ve almost rather listened to him in my car and not had the anxiety of the crowd or the lineups."
